Closed due to severe snow – We will be back open as normal from Wednesday 23rd January.


Welcome – We hope you enjoyed the festive holidays! We are now back in from Monday 7th January 2013.


Autumn Term Break – Please note the School will be closed on Friday 21st December at 12:30 pm. The staff will be back for a training day on Monday 7th January. Students are back in on Tuesday 8th January.


Closing Date for International Applications – The last date for issuing a CAS for the January 2013 intake is December 14th 2012. Please ensure your application is submitted early enough to avoid missing out.


September 2012 – Welcome back to our students and staff old and new! We have been busy during the summer implementing new standards and practices at the school to allow our students to achieve higher than ever. The nursery has also moved to our new annexe just across the road and we had some very special visitors to welcome the children.

Summer Holidays – The school closed for summer holidays on Friday 20th July. During the holidays we are open Monday to Wednesday 9:00 am to 4.30 pm. The school re-opens fully on Monday 3rd September 2012.

June 2012 – 100% Pass rate, again! Congratulations to the group of 10 adult learners who attended our ESOL with Citizenship exams through our English Language Centre. Considering some of the candidates couldn’t speak a word of English when they first came to us, by working hard with our support this achievement is yet another example of what hard work and dedication can bring. No doubt these students will go on to be more involved and understanding of our country. They are now armed with a good, basic command of the English language that will enable them to communicate with doctors, schools, shops and carry with them the confidence of achivement. Well done!

May 2012 – Good luck to our pupils sitting GCSE’s this year! The first five pupils to sit a GCSE in Beechwood’s history since opening in 2008 are Abrahim Azizi, Sharif Ali, Jamal Nasar, Zahra Rezaye and Sabah Rani. They sat the first of two Business Studies exams on Tuesday 22nd May 2012.


April 2012 – Congratulations to the group of 10 adult learners from our English Language Centre! They sat an exam on the 29th of March and achieved a 100% pass! The English Language Centre is run by the school to assist non-English speakers in gaining a good level of English in order to remain in the UK. Many of our students are now able to find work and communicate better in their daily life with teachers, doctors and various other public services. January 2012 – Beechwood Nursery is now open for 3 and 4 year olds. Your child can attend for 15 FREE hours per week. Places are limited so please contact us as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Give your child the best start possible with our Nursery and allow them to begin development under the Early Years Curriculum. Contact us on 0121 773 8356 to book your place.


January 2012 – The school is now taking applications to join our English language course in April 2012 and for entry to our Sixth Form starting September 2012. Please use the ‘contact us’ page for any queries.


October 2011 - Please note that for Year 11 GCSE pupils the cut-off date for new entrants in November 1st 2011. We may still be able to take on a new Year 11 pupil depending on past achievement.
